I have been remiss in writing reviews for Kaskade's albums. So here is a start. You may be wondering why I am starting with "The Calm", when Kaskade has had so many singles, and the Love Mysterious album come out since the release of this album. The reason is, I love this album, it is so diverse, and has more of a Late Night Alumni (LNA) touch that I love. The reason for this is that Kaskade released this album through his own label "Quiet City Records", and could release whatever he wanted. There were no executives to answer to about what type of sound to go for, etc.

This album is a little more laid back than some of Kaskade's other albums and as I mentioned before is more in the vain of LNA, in fact Becky Jean Williams (from LNA, of course) sings three of the songs on the album. Kaskade teamed up with many of the same people that have made his other albums such a success, including Finn Bjarnson, to give the album a great sound. Read More...
